This will be the "christmas" post, i going home for christmas today, so i might not be at a keyboard for a while (the same thing happens every christmas, over eating leading to "expanded" belly, leading to "arms to short" syndrome).
I got an interesting job offer by mail from the UK the other day, someone had apparently found my homepage while searching for Virtools "programmers", so i received a mail with an offer for a short term employment working with Virtools. The person writing me had read my Sucks article, but still wanted to talk to me. After a few mails back and forth, it was decided that i might not be the best person for this job.
But still amazing what a simple homepage can get you into.
I have started programming PHP again, i have a job offer that is very close to signed, and there i will be using PHP and Java. I have updated the er2code project to be able to use many to many relations, and it seems to work ok. I also found a project called HTML_QuickForm that should make it much easier to make html forms for users to enter data. It's not Python, but it makes all the tedious stuff automatically done.
As a consequence of using HTML_QuickForm i tried using PEAR for the first time, and it is very nice to use, almost as easy as apt-get (maybe one should write an alternative PEAR backend for apt-get).
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to anyone reading this.
