Blog/Amazing-Bright-Eyes
I do not intend to start reviewing music on this site, music is much too personal for that. But every once in a while you come across an ablum that is so amazing that you just have to let people know.
The last time this happened was with Neil Young's Greendale, i heard that album almost every day for 6 months, and now i'm getting the same feeling with Bright Eyes' new album "Cassadaga".
It is the feeling of instant infatuation that you think will fade off in a short while, but for unknown reasons you just keep falling more and more in love with different tracks of the album until you finally arrive at the point where the whole thing is perfect.
Sorry for the wavy words, but you need to listen to this.

Hello,
First of all, I didn't find any place to contact you, so I post a comment here... Sorry about that.
I've seen you write a document [HTML_REMOVED]Virtools Sucks Why your team shouldn't use Virtools[HTML_REMOVED].
Another guy on the net explain [HTML_REMOVED]#8220;Introduction to team development for 3D[HTML_REMOVED]#8221; with Virtools.http://www.alfouille.net/ProjetsPerso/Tuto/TeamDev/Introduction.html
I'm sure you will be interested a maybe change your mind.
Actualy I work on a team on a Virtools project. 5 coders in France and in US for more than one year... and we have no problem.

Hi
I can be contacted through the Colophon page (which perhaps should be ranamed to Contact or something similar ;-)
The article states some good points, like, use source control and componentize your development. Source control is nice and all, i also mention that in my article, but there is still the problem that you can't see the difference between two revisions - unless through manually looking through a LOT of boxes and arrows.
The componentizing part he doesn't even explain, he just mentions that it is a good idea to split your work into smaller independent parts, well duh! In the software development community that has been common knowledge for 30+ years. The big question is how to that that in an automatic and fool-proof way in Virtools, and he gives no explanation for that. Same goes for re-use.
Then there is the problem with the documentation, you being able to read french might give you some french documentation (i believe the Virtools guys are french Canadian), but the documentation i read was appalling.
Then there is the question of Lock-In, and what you can actually use yours skills for afterwards (besides keep developing Virtools games).
I'm sure that for Flash and graphics guys, Virtools appears great with a somewhat nice learning curve. But the developers of the world are used to something better.
But, hey, whatever makes you happy ;-)
